Taste cognition is about tasting the energy of what’s around you, the room, the idea, the person, the atmosphere. Discernment is happening at a level most people don’t have language for yet.
This is also why taste cognition is inherently discriminant. Not picky in the dismissive sense, but picky in the truest sense: you know what is correct for you. Physically, mentally, energetically. Your body is oriented toward what it can actually take in and process.
A note that often gets misunderstood: having a mouth-oriented cognition doesn’t mean you breathe through your mouth constantly. It means there are specific moments of gathering where that channel opens. The mouth drops, information moves in, discernment happens.
If you have this cognition, the most important thing you can do is let it happen. Don’t close your mouth to seem more composed. Don’t override the natural sampling process to fit a social norm. That impulse is your intelligence working. Do you have Taste cognition? What’s your experience with it?
